How to Enable and Use Auto Updates on the Dispatch Grid

Understanding Auto Updates

With Auto Updates activated, you’ll experience a more streamlined dispatch process:

Instant Updates: The Dispatch Grid will automatically update to reflect any changes across the Limo Anywhere ecosystem in real time.
Highlighted Changes: Updated trips will be visibly highlighted or glow within the Dispatch Grid, making them easy to identify.
Enhanced Dispatch Efficiency: This feature minimizes the need for manual refreshes, allowing dispatchers to concentrate on optimizing operations and client service.

Enabling Auto Updates in Company Settings

To utilize Auto Updates, it must first be activated within your company settings. Follow the steps below to enable this feature:

  1. Access Company Settings: Navigate to My Office on your Limo Anywhere dashboard.
  2. Open Company Preferences: Click on Company Settings and then select Company Preferences.
  3. Enable Auto Updates: Look for the “Show AutoUpdates Option in Dispatch Grid” within the General section and set this option to Yes.
  4. Save Changes: Ensure to click “Update My Company Preferences” to apply and save your modifications.

Setting Up Auto Updates on the Dispatch Grid

After enabling Auto Updates in your company settings, you can proceed to set it up on the Dispatch Grid by following these instructions:

  1. Open Grid Setup: On the Dispatch page, click “Grid Setup” to open the configuration options.
  2. Navigate to Date/Time Tab: Within the popup window, select the Date/Time tab, which contains refresh settings.
  3. Select Auto Updates: From the “Refresh Dispatch Every:” dropdown list, choose “Auto Updates“.
  4. Apply Changes: Click “Update Dispatch Grid Fields” to save your new settings.
