How-to Configure and Utilize SMS Templates for Drivers
When dispatching, you can send trip information to your drivers via text message or email. You can specify the information that is sent by creating an SMS template.
NOTE: The SMS/Text Messaging Module must be enabled for Limo Anywhere to send SMS Messages.
How to Create an SMS template
- Click on the ‘My Office’ icon on the toolbar.
- Click on the ‘Company Settings’ tab.
- Click on the ‘Messaging & Template Settings’ button.
- Click on the ‘SMS Templates’ button.
- Enter the name of the template in the ‘SMS Title’ field.
- Select if you want this template to be the default by placing a check in the ‘SMS Default’ box.
- Enter your email address in the field labeled ‘SMS From’.
- Enter your message for the template in the box labeled ‘SMS Dispatch Template’. Clicking the ‘Help’ link above the SMS Message box will bring you to the hash tags page. When you use a hash tag in the template, it will dynamically be replaced with the actual trip data when the SMS is sent. For example #CONF_NUMBER# will show the actual confirmation number of the dispatched trip.
- Click the ‘Add SMS template’ button to save the template.
How to Edit an SMS Template
- Click on the ‘My Office’ icon on the toolbar.
- Click on the ‘Company Settings’ tab.
- Click on the ‘Messaging & Template Settings’ button.
- Click on the ‘SMS Templates’ button.
- Click on the template you would like to edit from the ‘Stored SMS Templates’ area.
- Click the ‘Edit’ button.
- Now you can make the appropriate adjustments.
- Click the ‘Update SMS Template’ button to save the template.
How to Send a SMS/SMS templates to Drivers
- Click on the ‘Dispatch’ icon on the toolbar.
- Right click on the reservation row you would like to send the SMS template on.
- Select the ‘Send SMS’ option from the drop down box.
- Select the ‘Recipient’ (driver) from the drop down list.
- Select the stored SMS template from the ‘Stored SMS Templates’ drop down box OR type in a custom message in the large box below the ‘Stored SMS Template’ drop down.
- Click the ‘Send SMS Dispatch’ button’ to send the SMS to your driver.
